Arthur Ashe Courage Award Winner Bozella to Speak at Clark

About Bozella
Bozella was wrongfully convicted of murdering an elderly woman in 1983 and served 26 years in prison before his conviction was overturned in 2009.
Two years after his release from prison he defeated 30-year-old Larry Hopkins in his first and only boxing match, and became an undefeated professional boxer at age 52.
Bozella earned his GED, bachelor’s, and master’s degrees in prison and worked as a counselor for other prisoners. He published a memoir, “Stand Tall: Fighting For My Life, Inside and Outside the Ring,” in 2016.
He currently has returned to boxing as a trainer for kids and aspiring fighters.
