Clark University Adds Four New Members To Board Of Trustees

Saturday, November 16, 2013

This week, Clark University added four new members to its Board of Trustees: Andrew T. Brandman, of New York City; Kevin D. Cherry, of Roxbury, Mass.; Daniel O. Hirsch, of Chevy Chase, Maryland; and Paul Saltzman, of Scarsdale, New York. All four received undergraduate degrees from Clark.

Brandman, Hirsch, and Saltzman are term trustees who were elected by the Board; Cherry was elected by the membership of the Clark University Alumni Association. All will serve on the board through June 30, 2019.

"Our Board of Trustees plays a critical role in advancing the mission of Clark as a small liberal arts research university. We welcome each of our new trustees as ambassadors of higher education," said Clark President David P. Angel. "They bring a unique set of academic, work, and life experiences and insights that will enable them to engage with and guide us in providing our students with an outstanding education."

Brandman, class of 1991, is the executive vice president and chief administrative officer for CIT in New York. He previously served as executive vice president and chief administrative officer at NYSE Euronext.

Cherry, class of 1981, is the chief financial officer of the South End Community Health Center in Boston. Prior to that, he was an education manager at the Public Consulting Group, Inc. He is a member of the Athletics Hall of Fame at Clark, as well as the New England Basketball Hall of Fame.

Hirsch, class of 1977, is chief operating officer and general counsel at Potomac River Capital, LLC, in Washington, D.C. Prior to his current position, he served as a chief counsel for PNC Capital Advisors.

Saltzman, class of 1982, is president of The Clearing House Association and executive vice president and general counsel for The Clearing House Payments Company in New York. He is also a member of the Clark University LEEP Advisory Committee.
