Worcester’s Dawn Clark To Be Honored As an Unsung Heroine

Tuesday, June 16, 2015

Senator Harriette L. Chandler (D-Worcester) announced today that Dawn Clark of Worcester will be honored as a member of the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women’s 2015 class of Unsung Heroines at the Massachusetts State House on June 17, 2015.

“Ms. Clark has been an advocate for disability issues for as long as I can remember and has volunteered for many local and state groups over the past few decades,” said Chandler.

Unsung Heroines are women who put others before themselves and really keep the community together.

The Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women is an independent state agency that was legislatively created in 1998 to advance women of the Commonwealth to full equality in all areas of life and to promote their rights and opportunities.  The MCSW provides a permanent, effective voice for the women of Massachusetts.
