St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral was her foundation and she raised her children within the embrace of her faith and the Hellenic community. She offered her services in many ways to the church and took pride in making the weekly Holy Bread (Andethero) for the St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Cooking was one of Eugenia’s favorite things to do, but most importantly sharing her food with everyone who came to her home. Philoxenia (hospitality) was her second name. Her other past time was tending to her spectacular garden of flowers and vegetables, which she shared with family, friends and neighbors.
