Five Men Arrested for Trespassing in Worcester

Friday, October 12, 2018

Five men were arrested for trespassing in the area of Main Street early Thursday morning.

The arrests were made by the Neighborhood Response Team, who were undercover at the time.

The Incident

On Thursday, October 11,  members of the Neighborhood Response Team (NRT) were working undercover in unmarked police cars in the 600 to 800 block area of Main Street. This area is known for numerous complaints from citizens and local businesses for many quality of life issues.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., one of the NRT officers saw five men hanging out by a stone wall in the rear of Gala Foods Market. This particular area is well known for loitering. As a result, property owners have clearly posted numerous “no trespassing” signs throughout the area.

For approximately 20 minutes the officer watched the group to see if they were there for any specific reason.

Not one person went into the area businesses. After a long period of observation, it became apparent to the officer that the men had no legitimate business being there and were considered to be trespassing.

The following men were placed under arrest:

  • Darren Dupree, 46-years-old of 2 Svea Street.
  • Rudy Sims, 58-years-old of 125 Houghton Street.
  • Ramon Aviles, 43-years-old of 2 Pelham Street.
  • Fredlief Rasch, 29-years-old of 25 Queen Street.
  • Wilfredo Garcia, 44-years-old of 25 Queen Street.
