Former Worcester Sheriff Charged with Ethics Violation
Saturday, June 30, 2012
Glodis contacted officials at the jail after getting a request from David Massad, his friend and campaign supporter, to allow an inmate to be placed on the work release program.
He is now facing an Order to Show Cause from the state ethics commission.
The order states that under the Worcester County Jail’s policies, inmates are not eligible to participate in the work release program if they have any warrants or cases pending before any courts.
The Inmate who was Massad’s employee had a pending court case, and, therefore, was ineligible to participate in the jail's work release program. Nonetheless he was placed on work release on the afternoon of October 30, 2009, the day after he began his sentence.
As a former sheriff, Glodis already has a history here in Worcester with its residents and some local politicans.
