Gunshots Fired in Three Separate Incidents in Worcester

Gunshots were fired in three seperate incidents in Worcester early Saturday morning

The investigation into these shooting incidents is active at this time.

Police are currently working on identifying the suspect(s) who were involved. 

The Incident

During the early morning hours of Saturday, November 19, Worcester police responded to three separate calls for gunshots. At approximately 2:18 a.m., Worcester Police responded to the area of 218 Vernon Street for a report of gunshots. Upon arrival, officers observed that the front of 218 Vernon Street had been struck several times with large caliber rounds that penetrated the walls of one of the apartments. Responding officers cleared the address and no residents were located within. Worcester Police Detectives and Crime Scene Personnel responded to the scene to collect evidence and process the scene.

At approximately 4:00 a.m., police responded to the area of 15 Winthrop Street for another report of gunshots. Upon arrival, responding officers located a parked vehicle that had been struck by a shotgun blast. Officers on scene located a spent shotgun shell in the area. Again, Worcester Police Detectives and Crime Scene personnel arrived to process the scene and collect evidence.

Approximately five minutes later, officers responded to yet another report of gunshots, this time in the area of Groton Place. Responding officers located a spent shotgun shell in street, but did not locate any victims or property damage. Crime Scene Unit officers collected the ballistic evidence and processed the scene.
