MA Ranks as State Where Hispanics are Least Assimilated

According to a study by WalletHub, Massachusetts ranks in the bottom one-third for Hispanic cultural and civil assimilation, and 50th in both educational and economic assimilation.

Massachusetts also ranked in the bottom five with one of the lowest percentages of Hispanics with at least a Bachelor's degree, lowest test scores in math and reading among Hispanic students, and the lowest median annual income among Hispanics.
Massachusetts is also home to the lowest Hispanic home ownership rate, and has one of the highest poverty rates among Hispanics.
Interestingly, the Southern New England states (MA, Rhode Island and Connecticut) all ranked in the bottom three for Hispanic assimilation. On the other hand, the Northern New England states all ranked in the top 15 - with Vermont taking the #1 spot on the list.
