slides: MA Top Ten Best Communities

Wednesday, July 04, 2012

We've crunched the numbers, reviewed them, counted the restaurants and museums, reviewed MCAS data, and looked at housing and crime statistics, and we're ready to reveal the Top Ten Communities in Massachusetts.

This is a tough list to get on - only a few communities cracked the top ten for more than one metric; some never made the top ten for any individual metric, but instead made the Top Ten Best Communities list through a combination of its metrics.

Some of these are to be expected: Boston and Cambridge, which are known for their thriving arts communities, educational institutions and numerous and varied restaurants.  Other communities made the list through a combination of their safe environment, excellent schools and cultural offerings.

Worcester, the #1 community in Central Mass also makes the list.   Did other communities from Central Mass make it?
