Man Arrested After Firing Gun in Air on Coral Street in Worcester

Michael Garoulis, 26, was arrested and charged with possession of a machine gun, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and possession of a firearm without an FID card.
Police were notified due to ShotSpotter.
The Incident
On January 22, 2019, a man caused a ShotSpotter activation by firing six rounds into the air at the corner of Waverly and Coral St.
After an investigation, Worcester Police detectives applied for an arrest warrant for Garoulis of 22 Harold St.
On March 8, officers from the Operations division located Garoulis and placed him under arrest for the warrant.
Garoulis is charged with possession of a aachine gun, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, and possession of a firearm without an FID card.
