Man Arrested in Connection With Robbery of Commerce Bank in Worcester

Joshua Robinson, 27, of Gardner was arrested on charges of unarmed robbery and larceny over $250.
The Arrest
On Tuesday, January 17, at 4:30 p.m., Worcester Police responded to the Commerce Bank located at 11 Park Ave for a report of a bank robbery that had just occurred at that location. Police were told that the suspect had fled prior to arrival of police.
The investigation revealed that a white man wearing a disguise over his face had entered the bank and demanded the teller hand over cash. The man fled with an amount of currency in an unknown direction.
As a result of an investigation by the Worcester Police Detective Bureau, the suspect in this bank robbery was identified as Robinson of Gardner. Police applied for and were granted warrants to arrest Robinson on the charges of Unarmed Robbery and Larceny over $250.
On Thursday, February 23, 2017 at approximately 4:00 p.m., Worcester Police Detectives located Robinson at the Worcester Superior Court Probation office at 225 Main Street and placed him under arrest on the outstanding warrants.
