Man Found Guilty of Hour Long Crime Spree in Worcester

Friday, November 10, 2017

A man was found guilty in Worcester Superior Court on Thursday of committing an hour-long crime spree in Worcester last year.

According to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph Early Jr., Antonio Damon was found guilty of  18 charges including aggravated kidnapping, aggravated rape, carjacking and armed robbery.

“This was one of the most horrific crimes we have seen. These victims have had their lives changed forever. This verdict will give them a measure of justice and some degree of closure. I thank these courageous victims for the very difficult job of testifying and re-living their ordeal in front of their attacker,” said Early.

He faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 25 years in prison on the aggravated kidnapping charge. Judge Richard Tucker scheduled sentencing for November 17.

The Incident

Damon, armed with what was believed to be a knife, entered an office at 340 Main St. shortly before 4 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2016 and raped a 27-year-old woman three times.

He then left the building and carjacked a woman’s vehicle, strangling, threatening and sexually assaulting her before she was able to free herself from his grip and escape.

He later broke into a business at 5 Denny St. and committed armed robbery before being arrested by police.
