Man Stabbed in the Chest in Worcester

A man was stabbed in the upper chest in the area of Green Hill Parkway and Lincoln Street early Sunday morning. 

The victim, a 22-year-old man, did not cooperate with police.

The Incident  

On Sunday, February 05, at approximately 3:47 a.m., Worcester Police responded to the emergency room of a local hospital for a report of a man that had arrived there suffering from a stab wound. According to hospital officials, a 22-year-old man was dropped off at the entrance to the emergency room by three unknown individuals. The victim, appearing to be very intoxicated, walked into the emergency room without assistance. The three individuals left the area in a wagon type car.

Officers arrived at the emergency room a short time after receiving the call and attempted to speak with the victim. The victim was uncooperative. Officers were told that the incident occurred in the area of Green Hill Parkway by Lincoln Street. The victim provided no other information.

Officers spoke with medical personnel and were informed that the victim received a significant injury to the upper chest but the injury is considered non-life threatening.

Officers searched for the car that dropped off the victim but had negative results locating it.
