Man suffers serious injuries after being struck by jeep in Worcester

A man suffered serious injuries after being hit by a Jeep in the area of Grafton Street on Tuesday night.

The man’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

The Incident

On July 31 at about 9:30 p.m., Worcester Police were sent to 725 Grafton St for a report of a pedestrian accident.

Officers located the pedestrian in the road, and the Jeep that struck him. The man appeared to have serious injuries, and was given medical treatment.

He was transported by ambulance to the hospital. Grafton St was shut down and the Crash Reconstruction Unit responded to investigate.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the collision occurred in the northbound lane of Grafton St.

The driver of the Jeep did not see the victim on the road, and struck him. The victim has serious injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening.

The crash is under investigation by the Crash Reconstruction Unit.
