Massachusetts Has 3rd Highest Salaries for Elementary School Teachers in US

Massachusetts has the third highest salaries for elementary school teachers, according to data developed by GoLocal's partner FindTheBest. Massachusett's annual salary for elementary school teachers is $67,915.
Rhode Island leads the United States in salaries for elementary school teachers and is $5,000 more than teachers in Massachusetts and more than $20,000 higher than Maine - which has a similar population to Rhode Island.
Arizona is the lowest state in the United States - just above $40,000 a year.
The data derives from the U.S, Department of Labor.

During the 2012-2013 school year, Race to the Top (RTTT) districts in Massachusetts were required to implement the new Educator Evaluation framework with at least 50 percent of their educators district-wide.
