NEW: Blackstone Valley Chamber Supports Slots in Millbury

Monday, July 29, 2013

The Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce announced today their support of the proposal submitted by Rush Street Gaming to build a slot parlor on a site located in Millbury:

“We have reviewed the proposal from Rush Street Gaming and conclude that the proposed facility represents a genuine highest and best use scenario for the chosen site, and provides significant benefit opportunity to the town of Millbury and the Blackstone Valley at large. Given the company's commitment to use local small businesses for their operation whenever possible as part of their business model, and to include in their development design plans to help alleviate the existing traffic issues that currently exist at the neighboring Shoppes, we feel fortunate to be working with a developer that has had prior success building in the Commonwealth and one that understands the needs of our business community. The Board of Directors of the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce endorses this project and encourages its support.”
