Hardwick Resident Charged With Abuse and Reckless Neglect of Son

Saturday, September 26, 2015

The Worcester County grand jury handed out indictments today charging Randall Lints of Hardwick with abuse and reckless neglect of his seven year old son, which resulted in grave injury to the child.

Lints was indicted on two counters of assault and battery on a child causing substantial bodily injury, two counts of permitting substantial bodily injury to a child, and one count of  reckless endangerment of a child.

Allegedly, the injuries took place between June 30  2014 when Lints was granted custody of the child, and July 14, which is when police were called to Lints' home and found the unresponsive child.

Lints was arrested on July 21 and is currently being held on $200,000 cash bail. With these indictments, the case will be moved to Worcester Superior Court where the arraignment will take place at a future date.

The case remains under investigation by the State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney's Office.
