NEW: No Strike—UMass Memorial and Nurses Reach Agreement

An agreement was reached late last night between UMass Memorial Medical Center and nurses, averting the strike scheduled for today.

Eric Dickson, MD, President and CEO of UMass Memorial Health Care, released the following statement shortly after midnight on Thursday morning.  

“Together with the MNA, we have reached an agreement that meets the objectives of the Medical Center and is also in the best interests of our nurses and most importantly the patients and the families in the communities we serve.”
