NEW: Representative Fresolo Resigns

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

Representative John Fresolo has resigned today, sources have told GoLocal.

Rep. Fresolo had reportedly been under investigation since March by the House Ethics Committee for explicit photos, and per diem expenses.

Michael Graham, radio host with WCRN told GoLocal," One of the things we'll never know now is the outcome of the House investigation.  Watch for the per-diem expense issue to be front and center with future candidates."

"Thousands of Worcester residents drive back and forth to Boston every day and don't pay themselves to do so," continued Graham.  "Will Worcester voters demand the next [Representative] from the district take a stand on this?  I think so."

A Facebook page had been started in March calling for Fresolo's resignation.
