NEW: Shots Reported in Fitchburg Near Schools, Under Investigation

A representative with Fitchburg Police Department confirmed there was an "incident reported," and while the reported lockdowns at Longsjo Middle School and Crocker Elementary School were under the schools' procedures, an investigation was underway. No injuries were reported.
"Everything's returned to normal and police are investigating the incident," the representative with the Fitchburg Police Department told GoLocal. The Arthur M Longsjo Middle School, 98 Academy St., is located six blocks from where the shots were reported, and the Crocker Elementary School, 200 Bigelow Road, is a half-mile away.
