Friday, September 25, 2015
According to Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr., Frank Soto, 46, and Francisco Burgos, 42, both of 87 Gage St., Apt. 1, were charged with trafficking Class A substance, heroin (18-36 grams); and conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws. Soto and Burgos are scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Worcester Central District Court.
State Police Detectives assigned to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office and the State Police Gang Unit had been investigating Soto and Burgos for a month.
The investigation revealed that heroin was being distributed from the apartment on Gage Street and from a two-car garage at Eastern Avenue and Elliot Street. Search warrants were obtained for both locations. During the search of the garage, about 80 knotted corner baggies of heroin were found. The search of the apartment turned up $3,308 and a digital scale.
State Police Detectives, State Police Gang Unit, State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Unit, State Police K9 Unit, Worcester Police K9 Unit, State Police Community Action Team, and Worcester Police Vice Squad executed the search warrants at 9:45 AM on Friday.
