Planned Parenthood Leage of MA Releases Statement on Colorado Springs

Saturday, November 28, 2015

The Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts has released a statement regarding the shooting in Colorado Springs. The statement was released by Jennifer Childs-Roshak, the President and CEO of the Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts.

Read the Statement Below

"Our top priority is the safety of our patients and staff. The situation in Colorado is tragic, and our hearts go out to everyone involved. Here in Massachusetts and across the country, Planned Parenthood has strong security measures in place, works closely with law enforcement agencies, and has a very strong safety record.  Our health centers across Massachusetts are closed Friday, November 27th and Saturday, November 28th for the holiday weekend and will resume under normal operating hours Monday, November 30th. For more on our services, hours and locations, go to pplm.org.

We don't yet know the full circumstances and motives behind this criminal action, and we don't yet know if Planned Parenthood was in fact the target of this attack. We share the concerns of many Americans that extremists are creating a poisonous environment that feeds domestic terrorism in this country. We will never back away from providing care in a safe, supportive environment that millions of people rely on and trust."

Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts

The Parenthood League of Massachusetts is the largest freestanding reproductive healthcare provider in Massachusetts, seeing over 30,000 patients per year.
