Platinum Kitz Barber Shop Employee Arrested With Cocaine Inside Shop

Luis Alamo, a 30-year-old employee of the shop, was arrested and charged with Possession of Class B Substance with the Intent to Distribute.
The Incident
On Thursday, March 30, members of the WPD Vice Squad obtained a search warrant for Platinum Kitz Barber Shop located at 18 Millbury Street.
At approximately 3:00 p.m., members of the Vice Squad along with members of the Operations Division EOP’s patrol made entry into the barbershop. Inside the business were some patrons along with staff. Present in the shop was an employee identified as being one of the individuals suspected of actively distributing cocaine from inside the business. The employee was identified as Luis Alamo, 30-years-old of 2 ½ Lodi Street, Worcester.
A search of Alamo produced two baggies of cocaine that were packaged in a way indicative for sale.
Once the scene was secured, those identified as patrons were released from the scene. The remaining barbers were shown and given an opportunity to review the search warrant.
The remaining search produced negative results.
Based on how the cocaine was packaged for sale Alamo was placed under arrest.
