Worcester Police are in search of a man who robbed DCU Bank on Tuesday morning.

The man is described by bank employees as, a Hispanic man with a beard, approximately 5’5”, approximately 150 pounds, wearing a dark hat, scarf, and a dark colored jacket, approached the counter and slid a note towards her.

The Incident

On Tuesday, January 30, at approximately 11:40 a.m., Worcester Police responded to the DCU Bank, located at 11 Tobias Boland Way, for a reported unarmed robbery. Responding officers were told by police dispatch that the suspect had left the area in a small grey car.

Upon the officers arrival they met with bank employees. The bank manager introduced the officers to the clerk that had the encounter with the suspect.

According to the clerk, a Hispanic man with a beard, approximately 5’5”, approximately 150 pounds, wearing a dark hat, scarf, and a dark colored jacket, approached the counter and slid a note towards her.

The note demanded cash and contained threats. The clerk provided an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect. The suspect did not speak to the clerk during the ordeal and left immediately after receiving the cash.

The suspect was seen getting into a small grey vehicle but it was parked too far away for witnesses to get a look at the license plate.
