Regional Environmental Council to Host 30th Annual Neighborhood & Garden Cleanups Event
Wednesday, April 03, 2019
The event takes place on Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a cookout following the event from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Fuller Park behind the Downtown YMCA.
The Cleanups
REC began coordinating the event in 1989.
This year, REC anticipates over 1,000 volunteers will collect and remove more than 50 tons of trash from 100 sites across the city.
Cleanup sites are added each year when concerned individuals volunteer to coordinate a cleanup team in their neighborhood or in any area of the city that needs attention.
