A preliminary investigation revealed a subcontractor of Bob's Discount Furniture was delivering furniture at number 35 Shelby Street. The operator, 24, exited the truck and attempted to make contact with the customer by knocking on the front door.

Meanwhile, a co-worker, 27, went to the back of the truck to prepare the product for offloading. While at the rear of the truck, the vehicle began to roll backwards over its chock block.

The employee jumped off the moving truck and sustained a broken hand. the truck rolled down the hill striking a parked motor vehicle, a wall, a staircase, a street sign, and a porch. the truck came to an uncontrolled final rest in front of 19 Shelby Street.
