LePage “Crooner Cookie” at Crown Bakery to Benefit Safe Homes

Monday, June 12, 2017

The Dale LePage (center) "Crooner Cookie" will be re-released this week to benefit Safe Homes.

Sales of the Dale LePage "Crooner Cookie" this week at Crown Bakery will benefit Safe Homes, a program supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) young people, and their straight allies.

"The Crooner Cookie came to life because of Dale LePage and all the things he has done for the City of Worcester. Not only has he won every music award in Central Mass, he has also created a television show on Charter TV3 specifically designed to support musicians in central Massachusetts, and has been a huge force in raising money for countless charities," said Jon Lundstrom of Crown Bakery.

"So Crown Bakery wanted to do their part in supporting all if this and say thank you, that is why we are re-releasing the Dale LePage crooner cookie, the week of June 12th through the 17th giving a portion of the proceeds to Safe homes a charity that means a lot to Dale his followers," said LePage. "We be will re-releasing the "Crooner Cookie" for one week so come and get yours and help a worthy charity."

LePage, who started Pride TV, spoke to the fundraiser.

"I remember when John announced he would be making the Dale LePage crooner cookie, I was taken back by such a wonderful honor and then I realized it would give me the perfect opportunity to tell people to eat me, and really mean it this time," said LePage.

"I'm thrilled that Crown Bakery is releasing the crooner cookie for one week for such a great charity like safe homes to please go down to Crown Bakery the week of June 12th and bite me (to raise money for a great cause)!," said LePage
