Severe Thunderstorms and Strong Winds Heading to Worcester Tuesday

Severe thunderstorms, damaging winds and large hail are heading to Worcester on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the forecast from the National Weather Service, Worcester can expect thunderstorms to roll in around 4 PM on Tuesday. 

Here is the detailed forecast from the NWS:

Tuesday Afternoon: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly between 4pm and 5pm. Some storms could be severe, with large hail and damaging winds. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 7 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7pm. Mostly clear, with a low around 61. West wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
