Should the Worcester City Council Investigate Pat’s Towing?

In recent weeks GoLocalWorcester has unveiled that Pat's Towing, the exclusive towing company to the City of Worcester, has been dropped by the State Police, suspended by AAA, and has received an F from the BBB. Now, GoLocal learns that the number of tows conducted in the first 2 months and one week of 2012, exceed the entire number of tows conducted in 2011. This, despite that last winter had a high number of snow ban days and this year there have been few.

GoLocal's investigation was prompted by numerous complaints via email and social media that ranged from reports of reckless driving to abusive behavior.

Should the City Council of Worcester investigate the contract between the City and Pat's?

Your turn to weigh in.
