According to the U.S. Census, 82,921 people in Worcester county live at or below the poverty level and are impact by hunger and food insecurity.
Last year, the Worcester County Food Bank distributed over 5.3 million meals to 89,000 different people.
Stop & Shop will donate 300,000 holiday meals to food banks and hunger relief agencies throughout New England during the holiday season.
Stop & Shop has donated over $13 million in food and product to food banks and hunger relief organizations throughout New England.
