The Worst Snow-Covered Sidewalks and Intersections in Worcester
Thursday, February 12, 2015
On Wednesday, City Manager Ed Augustus announced that MEMA and the National Guard would be helping out with snow removal at strategic locations around the city. Due to the record-breaking amounts of snow the city has seen recently, the DPW has been working continously without a day off since January 20.
Augustus said, "“Our city employees and contractors have been doing yeoman’s work over the past three weeks, but this is an all-hands-on-deck situation. The entire community is pitching in, and I’m grateful for their help."
GoLocal Worcester has put together locations of the worst snow-covered sidewalks and intersections that still remain in the city. Chandler Street, Pleasant Street, Water Street, Green Street, Kelley Square and Shrewsbury Street are all snow-ridden and make for difficult travels.
