Three Robbed, Hit With Baseball Bat on West Mountain Street in Worcester

Investigators were told that both suspects were black men in their 20’s and that both had their faces covered.
The Incident
On Friday, September 2, 2016 at approximately 10:45 PM, Worcester Police responded to a West Mountain Street address for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival the officers met with three victims, two men ages 22 and 23 years old and a 23 year old woman.
According to the victims, they were about to enter a car to leave when they were approached by two men. One man had a baseball bat while the other had a handgun. One of the male victims was deliberately struck in the back of the head with the baseball bat. The second suspect ordered the female victim out of the vehicle and forced her to the ground with the gun pointed at her head. The suspects demanded money from the three. The suspects took a wallet and an iphone before running off.
Worcester EMS arrived at the scene. The 23-year-old male victim was treated at the scene for a large laceration that he received to the back of his head and then transported to a nearby hospital.
Worcester Detectives and members of the Crime Scene Unit arrived at the location. The victim’s were interviewed while CSU members gathered evidence
Several police officers responded to the scene and conducted a search of the area for the suspects. A WPD K-9 unit arrived and assisted in the search. The search produced negative results.
