Left to Right: Mickey Cronin, Andrew Baker, and Daniel Gandek
Whitinsville Christian High School in Northbridge has announced that three of its students will participate in the prestigious Massachusetts Music Educators Association 59th All-State Music Festival in Boston this year.
Andrew Baker, a sophomore from Northbridge, will be playing the tenor sax. Accompanying Baker in the brass section will be Mickey Cronin, Junior of Milford, on trumpet. Rounding out the group is bassist Daniel Gandek, from Bolton.
The participants were required to audition this winter, and were judged on technical abilities, musicalities, and sight reading. The annual festival will run from March 20th to the 22nd, culminating with the All-State Concert, where WCS's participants will have the chance to play in a wide variety of genres with top high school musicians from across the state.
