Two Arrested for Cocaine Distribution in Worcester

Friday, April 13, 2018

Worcester Police have arrested two men in the area of Rodney Street for cocaine distribution.

Shane Jefferson, 29, and Nahila Herrera were placed under arrest and charged with 2 counts of Possession of ammunition without an FID Card and Possession of Cocaine with the Intent to Distribute.

The Incident

On Wednesday, April 11, members of the Worcester Police Vice Squad possessed a search warrant for 119 Rodney Street, apartment #3.

At approximately 5:40 a.m., the search warrant was executed. Vice officers forced the front door open. Upon entry they saw a 29-year-old man sleeping on the couch. The man was secured without incident. Vice officers searched the rest of the apartment for other occupants. The search located Shane Jefferson, 29-years-old of 119 Jefferson Street and Nahila Herrera, 32-years-old of the Rodney Street apartment. Both were secured without incident.

A search of the apartment produced several rounds of two different types of ammunition, an empty handgun holster, and $4,514.00 in cash. The holster and cash were located in a safe.

The search continued and officers located a scale with cocaine residue in it, an additional $155.00 in cash and measuring cups with more cocaine residue in them. The search also located additional drug paraphernalia that is common for street-level drug dealing.

The 29-year-old man was allowed to leave the premises.
