Two Arrested for Illegal Possession of Guns in Worcester

Saturday, April 14, 2018

Omar and Adonis Ramos, both 20-years-old of 66 Fairhaven Rd, were both charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Firearm and Possession of Ammo without an FID Card.

The Incident

On April 11, members of the Neighborhood Response Team were assigned to the Burncoat area in response to recent complaints of car breaks. They changed their hours to work overnight, when the car breaks had been occurring. At about 11:55 p.m., officers’ attention was drawn to a gray car occupied by three men. The car appeared to be slowly driving around various side streets with no apparent purpose.

The gray car made a right turn on to Quinapoxet Lane without making a turn signal. NRT officers conducted a motor vehicle stop around 300 Burncoat St. Officers approached the car, and noticed what appeared to be the barrel of a firearm between the legs of the rear passenger. No one in the vehicle had a license to carry a firearm.

Everyone was removed from the car, and a second gun was discovered under the front passenger’s seat. Several .22 caliber rounds of ammunition were also discovered.
