Two Worcester Men Arrested Inside Mahoney’s Pub on Gun Charges

Two were arrested inside Mahoney's Pub on gun charges

Two men were arrested inside Mahoney’s Pub in Worcester on gun charges. 

Michael Hopkins, 23, of 8 Woodford Street, Worcester was charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm.

Kevin Jones, 24, of 22 Oakview Street, Worcester was charged with Carrying a Loaded Firearm without a License, Carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device, Possession of Ammunition without an FID Card, and Improper Storage of a Large Capacity Firearm.

The Incident 

On Saturday, June 3 at approximately 2:00 a.m. members of the gang unit were on patrol on Park Ave. when they saw a group of men at Mahoney’s Pub located at 413 Park Ave. 

The group of men were known to the officers and some of them were underage. 

When officers entered the bar, two of men moved their hands toward their waist and turned their backs to them. 

The two men then proceeded to run into the bathroom. Officers entered the bathroom and recovered a loaded gun.
