United Way of Central Mass to Hold Annual Celebration on May 4

The United Way of Central Massachusetts will host their annual Business Meeting and Celebration on Wednesday, May 4 at Mechanics Hall. The meeting will start at 4 p.m. and the celebration will follow at 4:30 p.m. in the Great Hall. 

At the event, individuals , businesses, and corporate teams will be recognized and celebrated for their work assisting United Way in carrying out their goals. 

The recipients include:

  • Senior Companion Program (Inspire By Example Award)
  • Iron Mountain (Inspire By Example Award)
  • Frank Minton (Labor Services Community Hero Award)
  • City of Worcester (LIVE UNITED Spirit Award)
  • Jeanne Y. Curtis (LIVE UNITED Spirit Award)
  • Pernet Family Health Service (LIVE UNITED Spirit Award)
  • Helen Shuster (LIVE UNITED Spirit Award)
  • Worcester Free Tax Service Coalition (Ted Coghlin Community Citizen Award)
  • Joe Freitas (Orville Harrold Community Leadership Award)
  • Richard Leahy (Aubrey Reid Award)
  • Commerce Bank (Stoddard Award)
  • Meridith Wesby (Alexis de Tocqueville Award)

 

Frederick H. Eppinger, President and CEO of The Hanover Insurance Group, will deliver the keynote address. The event is free and open to the public.
