Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Worcester Starting at 7 p.m.

The National Weather Service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Worcester.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Worcester starting at 7 p.m. on Wednesday night.

The advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. on Thursday, February 21. 

“A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Expect slippery roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while driving,” said the National Weather Service.

According to the National Weather Service, Worcester can expect up to two inches of snow and ice.

* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations of
  up to two inches and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an
  inch expected.

* WHERE...Portions of eastern, northeastern and southeastern
  Massachusetts, and all of Rhode Island except Block Island.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 7 AM EST Thursday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
  hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday morning commute.
