Octavia Orcutt, 31, was charged with mayhem and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
The Incident
On the morning of Saturday, November 17, at about 7 a.m., Worcester Police officers were dispatched to the area of Shamrock St for a report of a possible stabbing.
They were told that the suspect was in front of a Shamrock St residence. Upon arrival, officers observed Octavia Orcutt, thirty-one-years-old of Southbridge, outside a residence. Some officers stayed with Orcutt while others attempted to locate possible victims.
Officers located a male and female inside a nearby apartment. At first, they were afraid to open the door.
The man was bleeding from his hand and appeared to have been stabbed, and the female had serious slash wounds on her face. Officers determined that Orcutt had stabbed the male and the female with a piece of broken glass after a dispute in the residence.
The victims were transported to the hospital by ambulance, and Orcutt was placed under arrest.
