The Incident

On Tuesday, May 29, at approximately 10:26 a.m., Worcester Police responded to the intersection of Plantation Street and the I-290 westbound on ramp for a serious motorcycle and car crash. Upon the officers arrival they saw a 31-year-old female motorcycle driver suffering from serious injuries. The woman was transported to a local hospital and subsequently pronounced deceased shortly after her arrival. The name of the operator The preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle, a 2003 Kawasaki ZR 1000, was traveling southbound on Plantation Street when it collided into the passenger side front door of a 2001 Toyota Avalon. The Avalon was being operated by a 79-year-old Worcester resident.

At the time of the collision, the Toyota was traveling north on Plantation Street and was turning left to enter onto the westbound I-290 on ramp.
