Woman Robbed by Two Men at Gunpoint in Worcester

A woman was robbed by two men at gunpoint while walking down Maywood Street early Wednesday morning. 

The suspects were described as two Hispanic males wearing black hooded sweatshirts, dark pants and dark shoes. Both had guns and were both approximately 20-years-old

The woman was not injured in the incident. 

The investigation is ongoing. 

The Incident 

On Wednesday, March 01, at approximately 12:44 a.m., a Worcester police officer on routine patrol was flagged down by a person in front of 77 Maywood Street, the Blarney Stone. The officer spoke with a 40-year-old woman. The woman said that she was walking on Maywood Street next to Wendy’s restaurant when she was approached by two males.

According to the victim, both men were in possession of handguns and one of the suspects placed the gun to her head and demanded that she give them all of her money. The victim stated that she had no money to give them. The suspects took her cell phone and her keys that she was carrying. The men fled on foot west on Maywood Street towards Lovell Street.

The officer called for several police units to assist in the search for the suspects. The search was conducted for the immediate area which produced negative results.
