Monday, June 26, 2017
The victim, 21, was taken to the hospital for treatment while the suspect, 19, has not been located.
The Incident
On June 25, 2017, at about 11:30 a.m., police were sent to Wild Willy’s restaurant at 317 West Boylston St for a report of a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located the 21-year-old female victim, who works at the restaurant. She had a fight with a fellow employee, a 19-year-old woman. The suspect had been working at Wild Willy’s for about three weeks. The suspect asked the victim to meet her in the bathroom. When they were both in the bathroom, the suspect began punching the victim and pulling her hair.
The fight was broken up and the pair were separated by other employees. After the initial fight was broken up, the suspect went into the kitchen and armed herself with a kitchen knife. After arming herself with the knife, the suspect began looking for the victim, who had walked away. When the suspect located her, the suspect charged toward her and made wild slashing motions aimed at the victim. The suspect slashed the victim’s hand. After this, other employees restrained the suspect and took her knife away.
The employees aided the victim, who was bleeding from her hand, and the suspect ran away from the building. Police and paramedics responded, and the victim was transported to the hospital. Detectives took statements from the victim and witnesses, and the Crime Scene Unit processed the scene.
This investigation is ongoing.
