Worcester Community Vigil to Be Held Tuesday for Charleston Victims

On Tuesday, Mayor Joseph M. Petty, City Manager Edward M. Augustus, Jr. and the City Manager’s Coalition Against Bias and Hate are inviting the Worcester community to hold vigil in remembrance and support of the people of Charleston, South Carolina, following the shooting there on June 17 that took the lives of nine people. 

The Worcester Clergy Police Partnership and Worcester faith leaders will lead the city in prayer at the front entrance to City Hall for the victims, families and community of Charleston. The vigil will begin at 6 PM.
