In Milford this morning, the voting polls are getting very busy. Senator Richard Moore (D) who is running against Ryan Fattman (R) is out at the polls early and campaigning.
"I can't speak for across the state, but locally the polls are filling up. There's a steady stream of voters," said Moore. "There's lines out the door here in Milford."
Moore, the incumbent in the South Central Massachusetts Senate Seat, in a report with GoLocal, recently described running against Fattman to be "a shallow experience."
Marty Green, the Democratic candidate for State Representative for Worcester's 9th District, started his day in Northbridge this morning. "Northbridge had a great turnout. Huge lines out the doors." Green is spending his mid-morning at Graton Middle School where he says there's a big turnout. "We'll be going from poll to poll today making sure we put our best effort forward," said Green.
In the city of Worcester, voter turn out is also gaining momentum. Stephen Abraham, Democratic candidate and incumbent Worcester County Register of Probate, said "It’s going great. People are coming out to vote which is the most important thing. The nice weather helps, people want to come out. Polling places are really filling up.” Abraham's post-election result party is at Leo's Ristorante tonight on Shrewsbury Street.
At Ward 5, Precinct 4, the voting lines were out the door at the Stop and Shop on Grafton Street. According to Nick Tomasetta of Worcester, "It was packed. Every booth was taken and I had to wait in line to vote and hand in my card. That's a good thing though knowing people are taking the time to vote."
In a nearby precinct, Ward 4 Precinct 5, voters described the turnout a "very heavy early on," and "still pretty steady."
David LeBoeuf, Campaign Manager for Senator Harriet Chandler (D) said, "We are seeing good turnout this morning. She has had great receptions. There will be no vote unturned. Senator Chandler was at Temple Emmanuel this morning and it was very busy. LeBoeuf voted at the Webster Square Towers early this morning. He said there was a long line out the door. "It's a good sign because Ward 8 usually catergorized as low voter turn out."
Garret Shetrawski (R), running for State Representative in the 2nd Worcester District, is campaining in Garder this morning. "There's been a very warm response. It's been a great turnout. From 7-10 it was a steady rush. In Winchendon, the polls are busy. In Princeton, the lines were out the door. So right now, we are very happy with the way things are going." Shetrawski will be having an election result party for his supporters at the American Legion tonight in Winchendon.

“If Mike Germain wins the primary, it will be interesting to see how hard he works to win the house seat; he is not known to be that hard of a worker. I think that if he wins, that seat could go to the republican candidate.” - Chris Pinto, Worcester Republican City Committee
