Worcester Fire Department to Hold Rapid Intervention Rescue Drills on Monday

The drills will take place on Monday, February 26 at 10 a.m. on Pleasant Street in Worcester.
Rapid Intervention
Rapid Intervention is a form of training that involves monitoring the fire ground and fire building for any inherent safety issues.
The Rapid Intervention Crew is responsible for responding to distressed firefighters in an emergency, which may include members getting lost in the smoke, trapped by a structural collapse or running out of air.
Rapid Intervention Training uses theater smoke to create a realistic environment and situations.
