The Incident

On Friday, December 30, 2016 at approximately 12:24 a.m., Worcester Police responded to 163 Madison Street, the Burger King restaurant, for a report of a disorderly person. Upon the officers arrival, they met with a 22-year-old woman, an employee of the restaurant.

According to the victim, a man walked up to the drive-through window and identified himself as a police officer. The man said that he was conducting an investigation but did not specify what police agency he was representing and did not elaborate on what type of investigation he was conducting. The man did produce a badge.

As the man was talking to the victim he began to caress her right arm. The victim pulled her arm away and told him not to touch her.He then started to caress her arm again. The victim told him forcefully this time to stop his behavior. The man then quickly reached through the window and grabbed her breasts with his hands.

The victim closed the window and the suspect ran off.

The Arrest

The suspect was described as a heavy-set white male, approximately 5’4”, wearing a blue Polo vest, gray sweater and carrying a backpack.

Several officers responded to the area and conducted a search for the suspect. A few minutes later a man fitting the description was spotted about a block away from the restaurant. A police officer approached the man and explained why he had been stopped. The man raised his hands in the air. The officer conducted a pat-down search of the man which produced three badges and a can of mace. One badge had “Sergeant” written on it while the other had “Private Officer” written on them.
