Worcester Man Arrested After Stealing Cell Phone & Charger During Armed Robbery

The Incident
On Thursday, July 7 at 2:25 p.m. Worcester Police were sent to the area of Mill and Ball streets for a report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, police met with the victim of the robber who told police that he had picked up a male known to him only as "Cornelius." Once Cornelius got in the car, he pulled an unknown weapon from the front of his waistband and stole the victim's cell phone and charger.
At this time, the victim said he fought back and Cornelius jumped out of the vehicle and left on foot wit the phone and charger.
The victim was able to provide an accurate physical description of the suspect to the officer at the scene.
Officers checking the area saw a man matching the suspect's description walking in the area of 376 Mill Street. Officers stopped the man and identified him as Cornelius Bronw, 27, of Worcester.
The victim was able to identify Brown as the male who whole his cell phone. Police located a folding knife on Brown.
Following his arrest, Brown showed officers the location on Mill Street where he had thrown the victim's cell phone and charger before being stopped. The items were recovered by police.
