Worcester Man Arrested and Charged With 3rd OUI

The charges come after Waithaka was placed under arrest after it was determined that he was operating under the influence at approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27th.
The Incident
The arrest came after Worcester police were called to the area of 865 Grafton Street for a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries. Once police arrived, the officers saw a Toyota Camry with severe front end damage in the middle of the road. The Worcester Fire Department was providing medical aid to the driver who was identified as Waithaka.
Police located another vehicle another vehicle that was involved in the crash near the shrubs along the Burger King Drive thru. The vehicle was a Toyota Rav 4 with extensive rear end damage. The driver of the Toyota Rav 4, a 36 year old female from Worcester, was unconscious and suffering from serious head trauma. She was transported to the hospital to be treated and her condition is unknown at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
