Worcester Man Arrested While Carrying Packages of Cocaine

A Worcester Man was arrested after being found with ten individually packaged rocks of cocaine on Tuesday. 

Livingstone Steele, 54, of Worcester is being charged with resisting arrest, possession of a class B substance w/ intent to distribute, and drug violation w/in 100 feet of a park.

The Incident 

On Tuesday, November 22, at approximately 5:10 p.m., members of the Worcester Police Vice Squad were conducting surveillance of an Acura MDX in the anticipation of executed a search warrant on the car. The named target of the warrant was 54-year-old Livingston Steele of Worcester. While conducting surveillance, officers saw Steele exit a house on Mattson Ave and enter the car.

Officers were able to follow the car through traffic and eventually attempted to stop Steele on Main Street. Upon seeing police approaching, Steele fled the car on foot. He refused numerous commands to stop running as several members of the Vice Squad gave chase on foot. Eventually, Vice Officers caught up to Steele in the area of Castle Street and Piedmont Court.

Officers were able to place Steele into handcuffs and performed a search of him. During the search, officers located two knotted bags containing a total of 10 individually packaged rocks of crack cocaine. 

Steele was placed under arrest and transported to the station for booking.
