Worcester Men Arrested After Driving in a Stolen Vehicle

Worcester's Nelson Andino, 22, and Josean Torres, 28, have been arrested by Worcester Police for receiving a stolen vehicle. 

The Incident 

On Tuesday, May 24 at approximately 6:50 p.m. a Worcester Police officer was on patrol in the area of Jacques Ave and Piedmont Street. 

While on patrol, the officer observed a great Acura TL operated by two males drive past him.

The officer ran the registration of the vehicle and realized that it had been stolen. The offer was then able to reverse directions and catch up to the vehicle and request additional assistance in making the stop. 

The vehicle was stopped in the area of 12 Russell Street and the two males were removed. The driver was identified as Nelson Andino and the passenger was identified as Josean Torres. 

Based on the investigation and statements made at the scene, officers obtained probably cause to arrest both men for receiving a stolen motor vehicle.
